Well deserved Finals MVP for Ruler, not just because of his in-game performance but his role as a captain for the team and guiding Duro to become such a monster.

Duro said in the post match interview he knew they would win the finals and that he thinks it's due to Ruler they were able to win. He has previously credited Ruler for teaching him so much and the coaches and Arnold also often point out how good of a mentor Ruler is to younger players.

This roster change wasn't strictly about him being a better ADC than Peyz, but his veteran presence.

You wouldn't get this if you had added Duro but kept Peyz.

I feel like this debate was over years ago. Uzi was never this good in team fights and late game especially.

the funny thing is that this isnt even the best version of Ruler, his first stint on Gen G, he was a robot, he would literally go entire matches without making a single itty bitty mistake.

Plus most of his talent he showed at worlds, the only gameplay westerners see of him. While regionally he was rarely that flashy and mostly overshadowed by others in his role.

  Also Deft's various peaks from 2014-2019 were just as insane as any of Ruler's.

  In terms of accolades they both have 4 domestic titles, worlds, and MSI, but Ruler has 1 extra MSI from this year.

  Ruler>Deft is fair but it's not some massive gap, they are very close.

  To be fair to Viper, I still think he played extremely well. GEN is just that much better of a team than HLE, and Ruler was just better than Viper today. Showed his class.
